What a write guarantees

Six things an assistant can do have consequences. This page says exactly what protects each one, and what does not.

What Freight Right enforces Are you asked first?
Booking Exactly the offer, revision, total, currency and billing account you were shown. If anything about the offer moved, the booking is refused rather than made at another price. Yes, always. Only a click on Freight Right's own page, in your signed-in session, submits a booking. No assistant, and no model, holds anything that can do it.
Quote request Exactly what the tool was given; sending the same request twice within 30 days returns the first one instead of creating a second. Depends on your assistant's settings. Claude and ChatGPT can be set to ask you before a write, or not to. That is their setting, not ours. We say so in the tool itself.
Request to our team Exactly the revision you previewed: a draft that changed since the preview is refused, not sent. A draft is private until then. Nothing is sent, nobody is notified, and at most 20 drafts and 5 submissions per organization per day are accepted. The reply address is always your account's e-mail. Depends on your assistant's settings, as for a quote request. The tool asks for your explicit yes to the previewed version either way, and says so in its own description.
Sharing a quote (Freight Right administrators) Exactly the addresses the tool was given, all or none; an address the quote already has changes nothing, and nobody is e-mailed. Each address sees the quote once it signs in, and can use its approval, booking-request and cancellation actions. An address is removed on the quote page. Depends on your assistant's settings, as for a quote request. The tool says so.
A quote's public link Only a quote you created or that is billed to your organization. Never one only shared with you (a Freight Right administrator: any quote). Anyone holding the link sees the quote, read only and without signing in, until its offer expires or the link is turned off. Asking again returns the same link; replacing or turning it off stops the current one for everyone who has it. Depends on your assistant's settings, as for a quote request.
Price check None. Not needed: nothing changes. It does use part of your monthly allowance.

How a booking actually works

  1. You ask your assistant to book an offer.
  2. It calls a prepare tool. That writes down what would be booked and returns a link. Nothing is sent to Freight Right.
  3. You open the link. It is a Freight Right page; you are signed in there, or you sign in.
  4. You see the carrier, the total, what is not included, how long the price is valid, the billing account and your reference, and you click Request this booking, or Cancel.
  5. Only then is the booking request sent. Freight Right reviews it (BOOKING_REQUESTED) and confirms it separately (BOOKED).

Your Freight Right session never reaches the connector: the page proves who you are to Freight Right's own sign-in service, which hands the connector a short-lived proof that says nothing else.

If something goes wrong halfway

If your confirmation reached us but the answer was lost on the way back, the connector asks Freight Right again with the same idempotency key until it gets a definite answer. That is why you can never end up with two bookings of the same offer, and why an assistant should never "try again" on its own. It will tell you the outcome is being confirmed.
