Changelog

2026-11-02: one quote by its number, and PO discrepancies

  • freightright_get_quote reads one quote by its number, whatever its source — a quote created in the Shipment Manager portal included, which has no quote request id and could not be read before — as its row reads, with its one offer and every charge line once it is QUOTED, BOOKING_REQUESTED or BOOKED. A PENDING quote carries no offer, even one Freight Right has priced but not sent. The open-quotes prompt and a booked instant offer point at it.
  • A request to Freight Right's team of a new kind, po-discrepancy: what a container held against the purchase order (the shipment reference, the container, the PO number, the SKU, the expected and found quantities and their unit). Freight Right cannot check in the request that the shipment is the customer's; the team verifies the reference against the shipment's billing before acting. The reconcile-a-purchase-order prompt offers it.

2026-11-02: a shipment's billing, customs, documents and events

  • Two new permissions, consented separately: read shipment billing and customs and read and download shipment documents. A connection made before they existed asks for them when a tool first needs them.
  • freightright_get_shipment_billing: a shipment's revenue invoices with every charge line (the Billing tab, sell prices) and its accounting invoices with a PDF link valid for minutes, totals per currency and never added across currencies; freightright_get_shipment_customs: its customs declarations, lines and per-declaration duty and fees; freightright_list_invoices: the customer's invoices across shipments (the Billing page), open or settled.
  • freightright_list_shipment_documents and freightright_get_shipment_document: the documents an account sees in Shipment Manager (hidden types and private documents absent) and a download link for one, valid for minutes, never stored or logged.
  • freightright_list_shipment_events, always on: what changed on the account's shipments as a feed of twelve event types, cursor-paged, filtered by type and since. It is the change signal; updated_since on the list is not (every active shipment is re-stamped nightly) and its description says so now. A scheduled job polls the same feed with a personal API token: see Automation and API tokens.
  • freightright_get_shipment carries the newer environments' facts: the caller's tracking status and the delivery state, the stable organization ids of the customer and every party, a container's last free day, availability, gate-out, empty-return dates, seal, weights and contents, the purchase orders with their lines.
  • Two prompts, landed-cost-for-a-shipment and reconcile-a-purchase-order, and a reference freightright://guides/billing-and-documents. Every section tool answers "an older Freight Right build answered" during a rollout rather than "no such shipment", and never asks to reconnect for it.

2026-11-02: a shipment's detail as text, and organization ids

  • freightright_get_shipment lists in its text every leg, milestone, container and party it returned, with their dates, locations and messages, instead of a counts line. An assistant that reads the text rather than the structured result no longer sees "12 milestones" and nothing else. A very long milestone list is shortened in the text only (messages first, then the oldest milestones) and the text says how many it left out; the structured result is never trimmed.
  • The resource freightright://shipments/{reference} shows the same text (its milestone and container lines were empty).
  • Wherever an organization is named in text (the connection status, the account, quotes, price checks, quote requests and requests to our team) its id now stands beside its name: the id is what organization and billing_organization_id take.
  • A booked instant offer no longer points at freightright_get_rate_request for its quote number (a quote number is not a quote request id); freightright_list_quotes shows the quote. The open-quotes prompt says a quote created in the Shipment Manager portal has no rate_request_id.

2026-10-26: Claude, Cursor and Grok Bot listings

  • Freight Right is listed in the Claude Connectors Directory, the Cursor Marketplace and Grok Bot (plugin id 74434629). The setup pages lead with those listings. Pasting the connector URL remains the way in for other assistants.
  • Grok Bot is a separate product from the Grok chat app.
  • A customer's assistant can give a quote a public read-only link, and replace or turn it off (freightright_public_link, freightright_change_public_link), as on the quote page: for a quote they created or that is billed to one of their organizations. Never one only shared with them, which Freight Right refuses in its own words. It needs a selected offer that is still valid; a quote request has one once it is priced. Who made a link is shown to Freight Right administrators only.
  • freightright_get_account says so in can.manage_public_links; can.finish_quotes now covers an administrator's offers, selection and sending only. Listing and selecting offers and sending a quote stay an administrator's.
  • The tool reference says when a write is destructive (freightright_change_public_link, freightright_withdraw_request) instead of calling every write "not destructive".

2026-10-08: requests to Freight Right's team

  • A customer's assistant can file a request with Freight Right's team (a spot rate, a contract inquiry, booking help, a shipment issue, a data correction or a feature request) from the customer's own words: a private draft that notifies nobody (freightright_create_request_draft, freightright_update_request_draft), a read-only preview of the e-mail the customer would get (freightright_preview_request), and a submission that carries exactly the previewed revision, only after the customer said to send that version (freightright_submit_request). freightright_get_request, freightright_list_requests and freightright_withdraw_request follow and end it. The team answers by e-mail; the status page in Shipment Manager follows along.
  • The request tools use the quote-request permission: a connection that already has it needs no new approval. "Read quote requests" and "Create quote requests" say so on the consent. A Freight Right administrator's assistant reads every organization's requests and files none (the staff page does that).
  • The bookings an assistant prepares, and the ones a customer cancels on the confirmation page, are reported to Freight Right's staff page. They never decide anything about the booking itself.
  • The prompt ask-freight-right, and freightright_get_account says whether the connection may file requests.

2026-10-07: finishing a quote

  • A Freight Right administrator's assistant can take a quote from draft to the customer: list its offers (freightright_get_quote_offers), select one (freightright_select_quote_offer), send it (freightright_send_quote, which sends the quotation e-mail only to addresses the quote is shared with, or to nobody), and give it a public read-only link (freightright_public_link, freightright_change_public_link). A customer's connection is refused.
  • Sharing's notes now point at freightright_send_quote for notifying people.

2026-10-06: sharing a quote

  • A Freight Right administrator's assistant can share a quote with e-mail addresses (freightright_share_quote). Each address sees the quote once it signs in to Shipment Manager with it, with or without an organization, and can use its approval, booking-request and cancellation actions; nobody is e-mailed. A customer's connection is refused.
  • A quote row says shared_with_you when the user sees it only because it was shared with them, and a quote request shared that way can be booked by them.
  • For an administrator, "create quote requests" now reads "create quote requests and share quotes"; existing connections need no new approval. A booking refused because its request is no longer visible keeps Freight Right's own words.

2026-09-23: production

  • The connector is live at https://mcp.freightright.com/mcp, with the documentation at https://developers.freightright.com. A staging connector, https://staging-mcp.sm.freightright.com/mcp, is there for developers testing an integration against test data.
  • The freightright agent plugin is published at github.com/freight-right/agent-plugins; the URL it ships is the live one.

2026-09-23: agent plugins, and three more clients

  • The freightright agent plugin installs the connector and five skills in one command in Claude Code, Codex, GitHub Copilot CLI, Cursor, the Grok CLI and Muse Code. It ships the production URL.
  • Set-up pages for GitHub Copilot CLI, the Grok CLI and Muse Code, next to Claude Code, Cursor, VS Code and Codex.
  • Reconnecting the same assistant, or approving more capabilities for it, replaces its earlier connection instead of leaving it live. A connection whose lease has lapsed shows as inactive on your Profile; one unused for 30 days is ended (was 90). Freight Right administrators can end a connection from the user's page.

2026-09-22: administrators, and every account's quotes

  • Freight Right administrators can connect (opt-in, switched on in fr-admin): every organization's shipments and quotes, organization search, prices and quote requests billed to the organization they name.
  • Quotes carry their mode and lane, and can be narrowed by organization, text and creation date.
  • A quote request says whether this connection may book it; a booking is never prepared for one it cannot.
  • organization narrows shipment lists and searches.

2026-09-19: the rates surface

  • Instant prices for FCL, LCL, air and LTL, with slow price checks collected by id.
  • Quote requests: preview, submit, read back.
  • Bookings: prepared by an assistant, confirmed by you on Freight Right.
  • Your account, billing organizations and quotes.
  • Reference resources and prompts; 2026-07-28 protocol support.

2026-09-18: first release

  • Shipments: list, find by any reference, read one in full.
  • Connect and disconnect with one consent; assistant access switchable by your Freight Right administrator.
